The Sweet Pea books were not written with childhood poverty and food insecurity in mind, but these issues have concerned me for some time. So, it just made sense: I wrote a series of books whose main characters are beans and peas, and a percentage of each book purchase would go to a food bank.

Because I believe in acting locally, the organization I will support will be my Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Child Food Hub. If you choose not to purchase one of my picture books, consider donating to your local food bank.
