Is it the cold? Is it the constant
overcast skies? Is it the fact that
we all have to die? Probably all
of those. Probably others that
you’ve not discovered yet. Well,
there’s time on a bitter day in late
December when you are unable to
remember what you did this year.
Did you give the year away? To a
job or booze? Did you take it for
granted? Or did you save it for
a rainy day? Either way, it’s hard
to fathom how quickly it became
the past. And it’s probably the cold
that’s keeping you from thinking
straight. One thing’s for certain:
There’s no use wishing your winter
will abate.
