We bought our Christmas tree in early December.
We brought it to the house and strung some lights,
then showed it to our one-year-old daughter. She
sized it up, touched some of the needles, then
went into her toy box for a puzzle. Regardless of
her lackluster, I was thrilled because it was
beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere
we went. We took a walk through the neighborhood
and saw trees lit up in everybody’s window. I knew
this meant it was only a matter of time before we
reached a yuletide crescendo.
