Another Accomplishment

I sometimes begrudge our evening walks.
I don’t have enough time to do everything,
but it’s part of my daughter’s nighttime routine.
If it’s possible to take a walk, then we do.
She’s just so calmed by the stroll.
It usually works for me too.
I rarely regret a mile at dusk while
I’ve often regretted not walking one.

If we’re going to go on another evening walk,
let’s not talk about everything we have to do.
If we’re quiet, then those things might just go away,
and we can be consoled by a pleasant evening,
understanding that we’ve accomplished another day.

Success! You're on the list.
