Suburban Zen

Poems & Spoken Word

The subtitle of Suburban Zen is “Tiny Stories, Poems, Humorous Reflections & Deep Thoughts.” This collection runs the gamut, and it should. The poems were written during the six months before the 2020 election. But it’s more than political.

The following is a list of the poems that have been selected to appear in the upcoming spoken word film:

  • Suburban Zen
  • Flood Insurance
  • My Comfy Hammock
  • Money Pit
  • Coffee Addict
  • The Man
  • Bull City
  • Black Lives Matter
  • My Favorite Team
  • No Rain
  • Hoot
  • Dead Asleep
  • Break of Day
  • Berserk Worker
  • Hopping Fiction
  • Hot Rain
  • A Moment of Terror
  • Alaskan Trauma
  • Hurricane A Comin’

Suburban Zen captures tranquility during times of turmoil, exploring evening walks, the Eastern Cottontail, and hot rain.

This poetry collection will also be a short film. And select poems will soon appear on this website in the form of audio recordings or video shorts. Sign up for the mailing list to learn about the latest releases.
