Poetry/ Spoken Word

Suburban Zen‘s subtitle is “Tiny Stories, Poems, Humorous Reflections & Deep Thoughts.” The collection runs the gamut, and it should. The poems were written during the six months before the 2020 election.

But it’s more than political. Suburban Zen captures tranquility during times of turmoil, exploring evening walks, the Eastern Cottontail, and hot rains.

Below are a few poems included in this work. (See the short film for more.):

  • Wake Up
  • Break of Day
  • Who’s the Man Now?
  • Turtle Spot
  • Road Noise
  • Middle C
  • Another Accomplishment
  • Nihilistic Phase
  • Political Discussions
  • Hot Rain
  • Money Pit
  • Dead Asleep
  • American Dream
